FEX’s “Street of Dreams” Theatre is an approach to the art of theatre in the city of Xanthi. It organises theatrical performances and gives classes since 1975. It has put on more than 100 plays in the city of Xanthi and has cooperated with theatre’s important personalities.
Workshop I
Apostolos Bacharidis and Mara Koutsaimani teach: Acting, Physical theatre, improvisation, theatrical games, theatrical makeup, elocution, phonetics etc. Preparation for theatre schools. Classes are held at Home of Culture

Workshop II
“Organic theatre” accompanied by Sophia Savvidou. In this class we will work on breathing and how we listen and answer based on the character’s mood. We aim at discovering the characters’ and text truth relying on organic approach of our acting (more on organicity at www.spanidis.gr). This involves emotions and vivid feelings processed and used in an artistic way in order to result a live and organic theatre presenting to the actor first the necessary element of surprise as something strong. By the end of the classes our goal is the performance of a Greek theatrical play. Classes will be held on Saturdays from 06.00 till 08.00 at Folk Museum of Xanthi.

Workshops - Applications of Educational Drama in innovative action programmes for teachers and students of Primary and Secondary Education. Classes are held at Home of Culture.

Workshop IV
Workshop of musical and dance theatre for children. Musical and dance theatre classes for children and adults interested in music composition and dramaturgy. Classes on choreographic composition, folklore, musical dramaturgy, acting and dancing and theatrical exercises. Classes are held at Home of Culture. Four classes are already open.

Workshop V
Theatre and cinema workshop. We aim at making understandable the role, the codes’ dynamics and the cinema and theatre language through common or different elements of each art and at recognizing both the composition and the analysis of the play. In the practical part of the class students learn how to organise their own production.
